Ein Lkw-Fahrer befuhr am Dienstagmorgen die L 1080 zwischen Allmersbach im Tal in Richtung Rettichkreisel (Rudersberg). Während der Fahrt löste sich aus noch unbekannten Gründen der Auflieger vom Zugfahrzeug. Der Tankauflieger, in dem sich 1900 Liter Pflanzenschutzmittel (Agronal) befindet, kam auf der Fahrbahn zum Stehen. Bei dem Vorfall trat kein Pflanzenschutzmittel aus dem Tankfahrzeug aus. Zur Bergung des Fahrzeugs wurde der Streckenabschnitt ab 10.20 Uhr komplett gesperrt. Die genaue Dauer der Sperrung ist unklar, nach ersten Einschätzungen könnte diese aber zwei Stunden betragen.
