Ein 54 Jahre alter Mann wurde am Montag gegen 19.30 Uhr am Maubacher Bahnhof von einem Regionalzug erfasst und tödlich verletzt. Vermutlich geriet der Mann zuvor aufgrund gesundheitlicher Probleme ins Gleisbett. Hinweise auf eine Fremdeinwirkung liegen nicht vor. Neben der Polizei war die Feuerwehr mit starken Kräften sowie der Rettungsdienst vor Ort. Die Bahnstrecke Stuttgart-Backnang war für rund zweieinhalb Stunden gesperrt.
