Vermutlich aufgrund eines technischen Defektes geriet am Dienstagabend gegen 23:40 Uhr ein BMW auf einem Gartengrundstück im Gewann Galgenberg zwischen Birkenweißbuch und Kottweil in Brand. Als die Feuerwehr eintraf, befand sich das Auto bereits im Vollbrand, sodass ein vollständiges Ausbrennen des Wagens nicht mehr verhindert werden konnte. Der entstandene Sachschaden beläuft sich auf etwa 5000 Euro. Ein 30-jähriger Mann erlitt bei dem Versuch, das Fahrzeug vor Eintreffen der Feuerwehr zu löschen, leichte Verletzungen.
