Im Bereich einer Kurve verlor er in der Folge die Kontrolle über seine BMW und prallte gegen die Schutzplanken. Im weiteren Verlauf rutschte er auf die Gegenfahrspur, wo er mit dem BMW einer 46-Jährigen zusammenstieß. Es entstand rund 6500 Euro Schaden. Die Beteiligten blieben beide unverletzt.
