Am Samstag gegen 03:10 Uhr wurde die Feuerwehr Winnenden zu einem Brand in die Gerberstraße alarmiert. Den polizeilichen Feststellungen zufolge, war ein Whirlpool auf einer Terrasse im Erdgeschoss, vermutlich aufgrund eines technischen Defekts, in Brand geraten. Durch das Feuer wurden die drei darüber liegenden Balkone und die Außenfassade erheblich beschädigt. Personen kamen bei dem Brand nicht zu Schaden. Die Höhe des Sachschadens beläuft sich auf annähernd 300.000 Euro. Die Feuerwehr Winnenden war mit 5 Fahrzeugen und 20 Einsatzkräften vor Ort.
