Da dort in den letzten Tagen schon öfter Holz gestohlen worden war, hatten die Besitzer jedoch eine Kamera mit Live-Übertragung aufgestellt. Sie fuhren vor Ort und trafen den Dieb noch auf frischer Tat an. Kurze Zeit später traf auch die Polizei vor Ort ein und übernahm die Ermittlungen.
